Finally got my hands on a leuk. I bought a pretty good looking gigatnea for him and he didnt take to it well. I noticed he kept huddling in the corner close to the ground.

The Leuk is eating a mix of PE mysis live brine and flake.

I called around to some lfs and one had a large bleached sebea. So I took a ride and picked it up the no less them 1 minute in the tank this is what I saw!!!!!!

More Leuc pics!!! - Its kinda sad that sebea are dyed yellow pink and knowingly sold by vendors.

My Heteractis Crispa(Sebae Anemone) never came through. It stayed bleach for a long time.I kept feeding mysis and some krill and never even ate it.The lighting was OK for the anemone we had him under neath about 5.5 watts of light and the tank was very shallow and he was mid way in the tank and he never seemed to show improvmet. He then did not open up for about a 2 week period. Then just perished away:(.

Yup as others have said the vast majority of bleached/dyed sebaes do not make it past a couple of months. IME bleached bubble anemones can be a different story.

Good luck with yours reevette, and nice clown.

Its funny

Its funny

I had it in with that gigantea for two days and it didnt pay a lick of attention to it, as soon as i put in the sebea it doove right in.

I cant stress how much i think an anemone does for newly aquaired clowns.

Yep they can really help keep the clowns from being so stressed out. I'm glad this clown ended up in good hands !

At First

When i first purchased this clown i noticed he stayed to the bottum of the tank, almost like a goby. He would come in the open water for food but return to the bottum section each time.

I realized hey this guy must have come from an anemone that was in the sand, which only led to one natural host for leuc, a sebea. I was right.

I think it will color up nicely. We got one from an online vendor and it was bleached too but now its nice and brown with purple tips
