Bart...where did you move your calcium reactr & media reactors to? In previous pictures, they were next to the skimmer. You haven't added an addition to your garage have you?

Looking good. Can't wait to see some more FTS as the skimmer, etc help clean out the tank water :)

sitting on top dining table :D my media reactor which i got the biggesdt one FR1020 is coming today so i will be setting this up asap when it arrives. sent back the FR1016 and taught i had bought the biggest one. i am seeing microbubbles in the sump and making it back to main display. i believed its from the drip tray i used for main overflow, i might have to submerge the main overflow PVC 1" below water line to see if this help.

I have found with my tanks, that there is a break-in period after initial start up where I have experienced micro bubbles in all of my tanks. I think that happens until the plumbing breaks in and get a little slime in it. On my large tank, I had to dial back the return pumps a little, too much pressure. Placing the foam back in the sump would also help reduce your bubbles.

looks like you are still skimming sand residue out of the water column.

sand was moved around by adjusting some loc-line, water is still cloudy but reactor will be hook up later on today. skimmer is really kicking now this morning also.

Your tank build is phenomenal!
I'm tagging along to watch the rest and drool over the finished product.

Those Deltecs are definitely nice for their small footprint and head room requirements, but they draw a bit more wattage than I think is necessary for whay they produce... but that is just my opinion. Of course they only draw a few more watts than other, larger skimmer, so that statement is really only relevant in California, the state of outrageous eletrical prices. But out here we try to make every watt count :) (3rd tier up to .36975 per KWH now, I think.. haven't looked at our bill in that much detail in some time now... too depressing :().

and 4 kids ?!?.., wow Bart, congrats on surviving long enough to set up this awesome reef tank :D

ok here are some more updates, reactor was plumb in and total of 3 1200g bucket phosban was used. and some more nog

my electricity bills isn't that bad, and yep 4 kids 10, 9, 3 & 16months. kids love the setup and have front row all day wondering what little fishes i will add next.

water clearing up real good and reactor is kicking in too. i have it dial in about 700gph just tumbling around the media and trying not to stir it up. i had to shut down my skimmer since there was nothing left to skim.:D except the water..:D also did some cleaning today and all i can say is the magnavore 10 is truly amazing piece. will be finishing up on the chiller this week, but i might just take a break for few days or not :eek1:
