I tried all week to get a nice photo of a sunset over a bean or corn field, but EVERY EVENING clouds came over the horizon and blocked it. So I took a half crappy pic set tonight and was going to be miserable entering it, but decided to make myself a snack while uploading the set. Digging around the cupboard I found something everybody loves - sprinkles!!!
My youngest and I made a "tie dye" cake. It came out awesome. Tons of color manipulation fun for kids. And adults.
This was right before baking. 3 dye colors (red, yellow, blue) combine for 6 batter colors. They are just about as bright after baking. Fat bands of each color in the sliced cake.
A lot of small bowls though (6 for each layer, 12 altogether).
As usual, all great entries! As much as I wanted to choose the meat bus, I have to say that Reef Bass' picture is mesmerizing, and stood out most to me, so that's my choice.
The funny thing was that I originally thought it was just tie dye bowls - I had no idea that was batter in there. I think we all deserve a slice now...
When my kids were little I'd make a custom cake for bdays. One year the request was for a butterfly cake. You wouldn't believe how many butterflies it takes to make a cake!
Ever think your dog eats better than you do?
Shot a series of these recently for Kroger's new dog food packaging. This was a salmon and sweet potato variety.
