Found a couple of surpising things in one of my tanks

well i wish was a good find ive never seen a bristle worm this big <center>

It's still good. I have 4 10-inchers in my 52g, and they're great. They stay deep in holes in the rock, rarely show up, and never leave their holes. They're great detrivores, and don't harm living things, except us. You mostly get stung by the little ones that are all over the place.
 
I've got them in all the school tanks and home ones too. Some are over 1" wide and 15" long...yes, really! They are considered good these days. Just like the worms in our gardens and yards; they serve a purpose of taking care of the icky stuff we don't want around (but don't tell the worms that some people consider THEM the icky ones).
 
I too have tons of bristle worms, and one guy that is as big around as an average index finger, I don't know how long, as he only comes out during feeding time... I have read many posts, and through personal experience have found they are anything but a nuisance. As stated before, great detrivores, keep hard to get areas free of debris, and have not hurt any corals, inverts or fish.... Throw him back in your tank before he dies....lol...
