Yeah because that canopy is going to want to rest on the top of the tank..... aircraft cable to the frame uprights might work

I'd definetly love to help you out, one question though, your tank is 180 cm wide, 40 cm tall, but how deep?

At first this may seem rather tame:

This was a really fast job on just the tank. It has your metric dimensions. Sorry Ed, but except for the return provisions, and circulation (powerheads) this tank is done. Although the tallest production example I have found is only 14" tall, and this one is approaching 16", (that could wack up the works here) and considering I bet this will be viewable from all four sides-- and considering your stand design-- this one screams out to me "ZERO EDGE!" I need to make money with these brilliant ideas........... :smokin:

I think you missed the point as to why the tank is so bare: Zero Edge means the tank is the overflow.... so to speak.

Plumbing holes are not hard to add once the "engineering" is done. I saw in your drawing some objects that appear to be powerheads. If you use powerheads, a "closed loop" is needless complication. With a zero edge, you can't use vortechs though. With strategic placement, everything else in this tank can be plumbed through the bottom (some old school design returns) and hidden by aquascaping. If you insist on not taking this design to the "edge," Then the overflow should be bigger, and centered. The small one you designed will not be very efficient. Decisions, decisions. 15mm glass might work, check with a builder to be sure. I used 12.7 mm equivalent to .5" dont even know if that (metric size exists) 15mm makes more sense.

In Sketchup, go to: File>3dwarehouse>share model, Then follow the instructions,

Post a link when you get it up ......
