Full Tank Progression Shots

Again, many thanks!
START OVER??!! Your tank looks....No words..Awesome. Tell you what bring the tank and everything over to my house..lol wouldnt be fun to start totally all over:)
Thanks!....I think at this point I am leaning towards starting over with just frags. Some of the larger colonies would have to be moved and I believe it will not look as natural vs. starting with frags and letting them grow into the space. I also love the challenge of starting something new.

I've seen my share of Pacific rim reefs in the wild and can't recall any of them looking as vibrant, lush and beautiful as what you've grown in your home. There's got to be some kind of award given to someone who has maxed out their tank space more than once and keeps starting over with equal or greater success.

Every time I see pictures of your tank I think that it can't look any better...and lo and behold you prove me wrong every time! Kudos.

You could do such cool things with minimizing the types of corals or even chopping up one of those monster colonies and doing a monoculture.

I look at the size of some of those colonies and it amazes me that you get ALK swings.

You could always donate your corals to Atlantis. I'm sure Joe could take your little frags:crazy1:

Are there any corals that you don't have but would like to grow out?

Not wishing to side track, but I find the idea of a monoculture intriguing - got any links or pics of an example?

just confirms my belief that you have the "gift" of reefkeeping! well done (again) keith.

Thanks again folks.

I just might have to reach out to Atlantis for some of the bigger colonies...we shall see.

Moving forward, I am pretty sure that I will start again with frags of corals I already have plus more Millie's, deepwaters and tri-colors....plus anything else out there that strikes me as cool :)

Very Nice update Keith. I hear you on the starting over gig. I had to do it last year and I'm still playing around if I like it or not. There are a lot of awesome new corals out there on the market now and starting from frags/mini colonies could be a lot of fun.

Thanks Mark. Things have gotten a bit mundane so I am definitely excited about starting with a fresh slate and taking on the challenge of putting together another reef. Trying to make things work with moving stuff around was not doing it for me since things look artificially placed and un-natural. What's up with your re-scape?

wow your tank is marvelous!!:eek2::eek2::celeb2: one of the best ones I've come across here on reef central. I'd interested to see what you end up doing with it.

Hey reefbum, my name is franky. Funny thing is before I got into reefing and knew the difference between Lps and sps I googled sps reef tanks and a picture of your tank came up before I knew you were reefbum and that you were on reef central. I copied the image and saved it as my wallpaper on my iPad. I love looking at this tank everyday congrats for you have inspired me to go broke trying to achieve a fraction of that beauty lol. Keep it up. And pm me if u want to get rid of some stuff lol

What a brilliant tank. I like how you've opened it back up recently. I tried to pull my other half out of bed to show her what my tank will be, but she....told me to go back to my tank.

What is the orange coral mid bottom right in most recent shot?

Great compliments! Thanks

Thanks! My wife tends to brush me off as well when it comes to tank talk so you are certainly not alone.

That orange piece is a Tyree Setosa. I raised it from a pup
