Picture must be deceiving. That stand doesn't look 5' in length. Looks closer to 4'.

Nice, The stand looks awesome, is the a cross brace on the middle bottom, or is it open?
xbrace on top bottom open.
Will be making an acrylic drip tray for the bottom.

Is that 2" x 2" x 3/16" Aluminum Tube? 2" x 4" Center Brace?
When I considered Aluminum Frame stand in the DIY forum , I got slammed with reasons not to do it. From Expense, to corrosion. I'm glad to see someone WAY more qualified than me doing aluminum. I'll be taggin' along.

This stand was built by a pro that does aluminum and steel work for 20 years.
As far as corrosion doubtful at best sometimes we become critical of what we don't know
There's lots of so called experts out there.
My only concern was racking wo the supports but this concern was not an issue after much deliberation.

As far as the aluminum airplanes are made of the same grade I used for this stand

Best pendant in the market IMHO Italian company what u see is what u get no outside ballasts nothing else but pendant and two cables.

For redundancy ill have a single pendant as backup
Sifiligio a close second but custor service fro Jesse and Elos is excellent

At first when looking at the stand, I was thinking it was hollow aluminum, and wondered if it would hold up.

After looking a little longer I noticed that the frame is obviously solid..Considering aluminum tenisile strength is normally a minimum of 13000PSI, I think you are plenty fine....Not that you did not already know that, but I just thought that I would throw this out there so that others may not make the same mistake I did.

BTW, how heavy is the stand?
