how big is that fixture? 48"?
yup just enuff to cover 48 then a couple of spots on the side that are gonna be semibare but they will not have any light loving critters.

U can check it out on elosusa.com

Looks good!

My stand is 2 x 2 x 1/8 aluminum and the tank is 150 gallons 48 x 30 x 24. No center braces, no gussets ect. It sits solid as a rock :)

holy crap.... that better come with bulbs. Is it becuase of the name???
LOL the technology is far superior than others, quiet and just simply made much better than the rest.

Its all relative , when I'm done with getting my equipment I dunno wanna look back at the pricing.

My BK skimmer is also a pretty penny, but I'm only buying once.

BTW i was able to pickup the fixture used so I got a great deal;)

Gasman, I've been in love with the Elos Planet II's for a while now. But I just have to wonder what happens if an electrical part goes bad? I'm planning an Elos tank for the new year but just had that thought. Does Jesse have replacement parts available for them?

NOt only ddoes he have parts but if the light goes bad he will send u a replacement while your pendant is fixed under warranty.

From my conversations with him his CS is second to none and i'm sure he will work with you for a resolution.

Gasman, Thanks for that relief! I was stressed and was concidering buying a cheapo pendant for backup. SWEET!

Can't wait to see your tank completed, It's going to be awesome, I'm sure!

Just finished some drywall work that been meaning to fix prior to this install/

As far as electical I have two dedicated 20 amp breakers( conected to my standby genset 15KW plus 500 propane gas tank) good for about 14 days with 75% house functional.

Plus the little grey device that tranforms the amps from my two chillers into a much more manageable input for my aqutronica bars.

There's R/O, chillers( plummed trhu the wall and outside the house), and trans former lines all embedded into the drywall.

One of the reasons I'm sharing this build is to go thru the motions of previous tanks and my mistakes to help out any fellow reefers.

Hi Manny, I used to have a pendent very similar to the one you have. It was an aqua-medic self container with ballast and de mh bulbs. It looked great but it got so hot on the outside that it would give you a burn welt if you touched it.. Also a lot of heat in the tank.Is this one engineered differently to disperse the heat generated by the lights and ballast.

Tony 4 sure this pendant is dead quiet and no heat at all.
On for 3 hrs testing and no issues at all.

Their technology is far superior than others.
