So the MH'S come down!

It took about 20 mins to take them down since the plasma wall tv hooks I had on the wall made this a breeze( Its great to plan ahead )

Thsi pic is at 30% white 65% blue-- I get to play around with colors and sunrise sunset / lunar cycles etc. etc.

I will slowly aclimate my corals and yes I do think there's gonna be some color changes but ultimately this units are capable of sooo much more with so much less.

I do believe that the ultimate lighting combination will progessively make me forget about what an MH tank looks like:thumbsup:

Awesome tank G-man, love the look of the LEDs. I may have missed it, but how high off the surface are the lights?

The pictures look great, I bet that room is about 20 degrees cooler too. Do you get any "spotlighting" issues when viewed in person? Can you swap the optics out on the LEDs?

The room is chilled!
I have them pretty high at around 8-10 above the water- I may supp them with some retro actinic so I can run them at 100% white/100% blue w/o sacrificing my 20k look.

Time for update and some progress pics.
First some pics down memory lane-2004 old 180 dual overflow stock tank.

And today 2 weeks into a full led lighting system-the corals seem to be slowly working their way to the new spectrum. The ones that don't will be heaing to a new home and will be replaced by ones that will.
Still lots of playing around to find the correct spectrum-pic at 80 white/100blue
