Not too shabby DrBDC:)

I actually moved mine down a few feet in order to alleviate some of the headloss on the feed pump. I figured I was only getting about 0.5 times the system volume an hour through the skimmer:) Now I think it's closer to 1.5 times an hour:

I still have some tucking of wires and re-routing of hoses, but so far I like it...

I have some changes to make too. I bought it from a guy getting out of the hobby and it had a reducer glued on the intake pipe down to 1/2" threaded. The way it's glued I need a whole new union and 90 degree to change it. I taked to George and he's taking care of me. Talk about service!! I imagine it should be skimming a lot better yet with the Iwaki 70 not being constricted to a 1/2" outlet. Not that I'm unhappy now even with it the way it is. If you look at the pic it's pretty dirty and the only reason the water up there isn't darker is because when I cleaned it I put the top back on with it full of water from the bathtub (I somehow forgot to tip the cup over to drain it. I guess in the excitement of the new skimmer I was too eager to get it running.

DrBDC: I did have one question though... Why do you have a 5lb weight on the side of (I think it's) your lights in the lower-right of the pic over the fuge?

I'm going to either get the CRX-18 or 24! I can't figure out why the recommend a Maxijet 1200, this seems to be overkill to get water to the reactor. Am I not looking at it right?

Yinger, was it as simple as people say? Dialing it in, getting it working, etc?

It's as simple as simple can get /this product is made like a tank and i bet dialing it in should also be a breeze, I put mine together in literally 20 mins and just have to get to the weekend so i can get it going and dial him in. VERY PLEASED GREAT PRODUCT.

Do you think that the Eheim pump would make less noise then the Ocean Runner 3500 pump.?

I have mine set at 6.40 with an offset of .05, and I'm using the Reef Fanatic also.
