Very nice. Some points of interest.

1: Makin' it rain in there, i.e. droppin' bills.

2: Well organized plumbing supplies

3: neat stack of zipties

4: neatly bundled cords so as to avoid any tripping

5: supplemental lighting using high quality metal reflectors.

6: towel at the ready to clean up any spills.

A well thought out and properly executed fish room. Well done sir.

Josh, too funny man. How about the HOB skimmer that is now an "in tank" skimmer. Genius I know. (Couldn't find a way to hang it on the tub) If i could catch a photo of my wife's face when she walks past that room I would post it. :furious: Anyway, love this thread with the only complaint being that it is taking me all day to get to page 36. Keep them coming reefers.

Here is my contribution.
Wife was tired of test tubes laying around.

from left to right. Whte PVC--homemade denitrator coil. output of denitrator dripping in front of skimmer. Output of skimmer passing through hole in sump. Sump raised on 2X4's to get level of rubbermaid tub better. Not pictured, output of skimmer goes to gallon milk jug.

attachments.

stand extender to go from 55 to 70.
HOB intake holding tube for denitrator intake

screws holding light onto canopy.
canopy is cut down 2x4s (hand held circular saw cut) cut to fit other setup.
light is held up by old glass that doesnt fit this tank

phurst, test it on one, I had the concave crystalline leds.

edit: almost forgot--the ghetto sand, rock and CUC are from the beach.

LOL... that blue "Rubbermaid" tub looks like a "Kitty Litter" box. I've seen those before. Added bonus is the breather holes where the old handle was. Is this used for the emergency overflow? Hahaha

I would like to make a contribution from Italy of Ghetto rig.

you COULD save a tiny bit of energy by just putting one of your drain hoses into that bucket... kills 2 birds with one stone. less pumps to clean too :)

good idea, this night i try to put inside the "refugium" the plumbing returning in the sump by the chiller... In Italy this proverb is said: Catch two pigeons with one bean.... ha ha i've tried to use google translator but the result was kill 2 birds with one shot... but the meaning is the same. Ghetto Rig Filosofy!!!
