What a rouse! The people that voted have no idea what they have voted against. The Mitras light specs beats any light head and shoulders! PERIOD!! I can understand if someone would complain about the price as it is priced out of most people, especially if you need multiple units. That brings up another point, I don't think that any of those pictures have a wireless master slave function. What a bunch of amateurs. Sorry, had to vent. I was told to be civil after giving a light bulb analogy. grrrr.

- How many would be sufficient for an SPS dominated system?
- When will the Prolifux be able to talk to Mitra (wireless option)?
- Any updates on Mac compadability?
- Are package deals available for Mitra/Profilux/Powerbar/Probe combos?

Go with reefbytes. I did not like my experience with the other when I purchased my Mitras and would absolutely never do business with him again.

rodneyri and other Mitras owners...I'm curious and have a few questions...looking for an in depth conversation on this...
I've been using rodneyri's light project since installing the fixture over my tank and am curious if this is optimal in regards to spectrum. What are all of you using? How do you as an individual user determine this? I ask because I want to ensure that I'm utilizing the full capabilities of the fixture.

it resolves multi unit delay connections.
Actually i have seen people with single units have this problem where the unit is off from it's set time so would still do the upgrade.

I will hopefully be joining the GHL Mitras club at the end of this month! :dance: I have ordered and paid for my black Mitras with HV from Reefbytes and there is supposed to be a shipment coming the end of this month! I will be running mine over my 28g Nano Cube (a "bit" overkill I know). I am just starting this tank back up and always hated the coloring, if you can call it that, that I got from the stock LED hood. Pretty much everything bleached out or didn't retain the colors I had previously seen under MH or even T5. I've ran much larger systems in the past and I am dipping my toe back in with this nano. Part of the reason for the Mitras is that when I decide to upgrade, which will inevitably happen, the Mitras can grow with me.

welcome to the club, you will love your investment and it sure will grow with you, the technology in the Mitras is quite far ahead so you are good for some years to come without the fear of upgrades required.

In the very early planning stages of a custom 180g 72*24*24. Would you guys suggest 3 or 4 fixtures? Will be keeping the 40 running so I'm trying to figure out what I need for this new system.
