GHL Standalone dosers. - Prime numbers?

I just received my GHL Doser. The plan was to switch away from my acjr / brs dosers as I was running into issues where I couldn't easily dose the exact amount I wanted evenly during a 24 hour period without some custom programming that I really just didn't feel like having to fiddle with whenever I need to adjust my dosage amount.

However I came to the realization when setting it up against how the instructions read, that you don't punch in the total dosage per day and the number times you want it to dose meaning if I want 79 ml to be spread over 12 times a day the computer will figure out what that odd ball dose is and make it happen. Instead I can only dose in increments that can be broken up between 1 and 24? Which means I can't dose any prime numbers unless I do 1 single dose? Is this correct?

The way the dosing in auto works is "number of doses a day * amount of dose = total dose per day" instead of "total amount per day / by number of doses per day"? I also can't dose less then a ml which means I can't do say 2.5 x 10 for 25ml a day?

If possible can you please explain how I dose prime numbers?
Thank You.

Ok so after some thought I think I can do what I need w/manual mode however. That only opens up a couple more questions. What I'm thinking I'll do is setup manual mode to do 11 doses a day. Dose 1-10 will be even doses to get me to say 60,70,80,90, etc.. and dose 11 will be the single digit dose 1-9 to (which will allow me to do say 91,92,93, 94, and so on)

So onto the questions.

1) In manual mode it asks me days of week or interval? Do I have to set each day for each pump one at a time, or is there a way to use manual mode where it repeats every day?

2) How do I set the ML per minute? I don't see that? If I say I want 20ml at 2pm in manual mode will it give me 20ml in a minute, or over 20 minutes? (edit maybe I misread something but now I'm seeing it can dose down to 1ml, but the rate doesn't change?) which means it can dose in increments as small as one second..but either way I'm going to end up with say 20ml in 20 seconds correct?

Thanks again

1) each pump is independent from the next so yes you first set what pump you wish to edit and then what days of the week and then what time and then the amount at that time.

2) as above, when you go through the menu you will see it is in flow form and intuitive on each step. If you want to does for example 20ml at 2pm set the dose rate to 20ml the unit will then dose 20ml at 2pm. You have up to 24 timed doses in one day so you can stagger that 20ml throughout the day if you dont want 20ml all in one go

More support please post here www.profiluxsupport.com this is the official support forum where you will get faster answers

Uh what? You didn't answer my questions. I didn't ask if the pumps can be adjusted independently, and I didn't ask how to set it to dose 20ml at 2pm, you also can't do 24 doses in manual mode only 12 or is something wrong with my doser? I've gone threw the flow a few times and it's not very intuitive (or I wouldn't be asking). It's rather ambiguous and the instructions are really vague. Am I dosing total dose per day divide by number of doses or the sum of all the doses via the amount you set time the number of times you choose to dose? How do I set the pump to dose the same every day in manual mode? It was my understating based on the literature the amount I can dose is adjustable how do I set this rate or is this note the case?

As far as posting on the other forum. I'd rather post here. This is the online community I am a part of. I ask these questions not just to receive the answers for myself but so when others search with similar questions they can find the answers as well.

I would greatly appreciate if you took the time to carefully read what I wrote in all 3 posts and answer all my questions here.
Thank you.

Yes in manual mode you can only do 12 doses a day but in auto then you can do 24.

I have answered your question where we now offer support this is to benefit the whole community.

If you wish to have support here maybe one of the community can help you. Or feel free to email us at sales@aqua-digital.com

I am very sorry if this route does not suite you but its hard to please everyone, and the vast majority of the community asked for a dedicated NA supported forum that could be categorized so we provided it, this is not going to change back, I am very sorry, we need to provide top level fast support and can not be going back and forth between multiple forums answering often duplicate questions over a month.

I hope you understand the importance of this to offer the best support possible to everyone.

You didn't answer the questions over on that other forum again your response didn't really have anything to do with the question that I asked. I'm starting to find myself rather disappointed with the level of support I am receiving. Do you not know the answers to the questions that I am asking? I was under the impression that the level of support I was going to receive with this product was above on beyond what I could expect from cheaper models by other companies with similar features. This is making me a little nervous as to what it would be like if I had an issue that required service. If I can't even get a response to a simple question like if I'm entering the total amount of dosage per day and the unit is dividing that by the number of doses or if I'm putting in the total number of doses and the amount per dose which then sum the two up to give me the total amount per day?

Why do you keep trying to funnel me into another forum or a private channel for communication? Do you not want to post on RC the answers to the questions I am asking as you feel it may portray your product in a bad light? I'm rather confused here. I'm not trying to start a mess but I would just like to know what the capabilities are and how to correctly use the item, I just spent 400$ on. The manual is very brief and lacking a lot of detail.
Thank You

Hi MammothReefer,

Question 1
IN the timer menu when you have selected Manual mode, there are two options.
Option 1 is to set days of the week you wish this to operate, you can select every day which will give you 7 days of what you have entered.
Option 2 is to set day interval. Put 1 day in here to dose every day, or 2 to dose every other day etc.

Question 2
You do not select the amount per minute. This is fixed by the output of the pump! ( I suggest you calibrate the pump, as I found each one gave a different output, once you have found the ml per minute output of the pump you enter this into the parameter"flowrate of pump"!)
So if you have requested 12 ml in manual output at a certain time. The pump will be on for 18 secs (If the flowrate is 40ml like mine)

Not sure if you have downloaded the manual Manual for Profilux 3
But a lot of info in there on how the timers work.
Albeit the manual does not have a lot of the new items added from this revision of the control.

Hope this helps and yes you do have to rely on other users a bit for the info. Particulary for those of us that are outside of the Eurozone and the USA.
But it is a particulary capable system and I would still not buy anything else at this time.

NOBODY is trying to funnel you we are simply giving you the route for support from GHL, if you do not wish to take it this is your choice.

Enough has now been said on the froute and reason for a support forum, and we are very proud of the client service we offer and also the massive amount of high feedback we get from it, if the level of service does not suit you then I can only apologise, but that does not change the path we have choen for NA support of GHL.
