Giesemann Lighting Club.

I'm so sad :( I want s Giesemann spectra so bad but my tank is 65" x30" x24" and Giesemann only makes a 24", 48", and a 72". Do you guys think giesman will make a custom fixture if I needed one? I would probably want it to run 3x250watts and 4x80 watt t5s but be 60" in length is this possible? Because I don't think the 48" fixture will cut it

Years ago I was told they could make a custom light. But not sure now.

I have just been offered an awesome deal on a 48" 2x400 watt spectra. I need to know if this will work for my 65x30 sps tank. Or if I need to retrofit it. I need to know asap because the guy is waiting for me to pay. Does anyone know if this is an issue or nort. I don't think it really will be but I have to be sure. I know that a 48" fixture will work on a 60" tank and my tank is only 2.5 inches longer on each side

Zack Spcetra Yes yes yes I would do it.

MrSkumFrog I have ATI bulbs Blue + Actnic

Blue + Caral+
and a 14k Phoniex de

My other MH T-5 unit it will be dual 14k phoneix w/( Blue +, Coral+) /( Blue+ Coral +)

Because the Spectra is a beautiful fixture it will complement your tank, it will look similar as your ol ATI fixture, but with dual 400 watt Radium's the Cebu will look bulky on your rimless tank. People use 36 inch fixtures on 48 inch tanks all the time, that's a 12'' difference yours will be 17 basically 8'' off each end.

Isn't that difference a lot? I'm afraid I won't have enough coverage. If I have to grab a cebu and it'll give it full coverage. Wouldn't it be better? I'm worried that I'll have to raise the fixture really high

I would be very comfortable placing corals 6 inches off either end of my Spectra. My tank is 48 inches so I can't actually do that, but I think a poci or a Bali Green Slimer would grow fine there, and if it was a 400 watt Spectra and not a 250 like I have then I would be certain it could cover 60 inches long. 65 might be a push.

Joined the club again...first time round was an Infiniti, this time round Matrixx2 Dimtec

Hello all Geissmann reefers. Can I use Blue Wave ballast (Double 250 watt) for the Geissmann Infinity? Is it easy wiring? Thanks in advance..

On your particular light do you have the large white piece of plastic clip that clips into the old ballast?

Or do you have a single ballast with one cord coming out of it? Kinda of long like a loaf of bread.

Yes It's large white piece of plastic clip (long cord) that clips into white piece clip of ballast. Thanks

Trying to get a Giesemann MATRIXX II T5 fixture.
Fixture looks hot and well built...

Agreed.

If anyone has one, please post pics!

I just ordered two new Reef Brite 250 W ballasts ( solid state with LED indicators ) for my 48" Infiniti fixture. This also affirms my commitment to halides for the next 5 years. I will post up information when I install them this weekend.
