Nice Iowa! Do you have any rock & PVC pipe to give the guys some shelter? Not bustin your chops they might want some space soon. Good luck!

Going in a 180 eventually. That tank they are in now is just a qt

Hmm, that amount of water might be a bit small for 2 acanthurus tangs and a Nano that would need at least 300 gallons or more in just a couple years. Just FYI... not that you will take advice anyway.

I allready have plans for monster tank when we redo our basement in a year or two.

No matter what online site you go to. They never have exactly what you want. Live aquaria might be out of 1 thing vivid might have. And petco has some stuff that is way out of there level that the big boys don't ever have

I would caution you to be very cautious with the two PBT in the 180g, I use to have two purple tangs and two PBT in my old 180. Everyone was great for 6 months then the PBT started fighting which lead to ich which eventually killed the PBT. This was 9 yrs ago but the point is still there. I think you would have no problems with all of the tangs you purchased being put in the 180g, the question is for how long

When will people just start telling everyone to just leave them in the ocean ...
Those tangs will be fine in a 180 for awhile ..

^That. Buy fish for the tank you have, not the tank you plan for.

Unlike most who plan to have bigger tanks then can't afford/want to upgrade later. I have 7 tanks in my house. I have a 150 in my basement with nothing in it. I could set up and keep a fish in that is being a butt. If any fish turns into a problem my LFS is great about giving me store credit for fish I take in.

I love how many on here act like they don't keep animals in cages for there own personal enjoyment. To be honest the perfect tank size is the ocean. I have seen more fish than I have kept in a 90 gal for years.

It will work till it doesn't any more then adjustments will be made.
