Great Barrier Reef WARNING LOTS OF PHOTOS!

I just went through this thread; ironic that it's on an aquarium board because the photos show the utter futility of trying to recreate an ocean reef in a tank!

Thanks for posting these fantastic photos...I've been diving several places in the caribbean and it looks like there's no comparison!

I'm supposed to recreate that in a glass container????

Awsome stuff! Thanks! And ditto on the living vicariously through you.....

Can't wait for the next installment.

Alrighty,
I'm back again. Went to Magnetic Island on Saturday. The weather was great, thankfully, but the vis was not so good.
Magnetic island is a fairly close reef, so there is never really brilliant vis, but that's what the outer reefs are for.

Anyway, here are some shots from the trip, enjoy!

Thanks again! Those corals in your tank look great! Quite a nice tank, I'd say :D.

Have you gone back to the spot where Bluey lives?

Yeah, Id love to see some more pics of bluey!!! My mother in law made grouper for dinner recently, and I just couldnt eat it, I kept thinking about bluey!!

Wow! I just finished the thread and have got to say how lucky you are. Some of the pics of all the SPS makes me want to go SPS on my tank, lol. I'm loving the pics, keep em coming!

I know you have already heard this but, Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! My wife and I are avid divers in the Carribean but it has always been a dream of ours to dive the barrier reef. PLease keep the photo's doming. I truley mean it when I say, you will never be able to post too many.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, the weather's been a little iffy lately, so the reef trip will be in a week or two just to make sure the water's cleared up. I'll see if i can dig out some more pics in the meantime.
Stay tuned.
