JokerGirl:
You'll LOVE australia if you make it down here. Maybe that boyfriend of yours needs a push in the right direction ;)
The whole thing with people being afraid of the ocean or never going swimming is so strange to me. I practically grew up underwater, it's my second home down there.

Oh I know what you mean. I grew up in Northern Canada, so there was always an availability of wonderful lakes to be in although it's nothing like being in the ocean.

I feel that his fears of the ocean have actually been reinforced. When we came back, there was a report of a 14 year old surfer girl who lost her entire arm to a 14ft Tiger Shark. She lost it in the same bay that our hotel was on. It's such a shame too cuz the reef there was pretty nice.

If we do go to Australia at some point, he is being forced into the water whether he likes it or not *evil grin*

Gorgeous photographs. I snorkel in Turkish coastals of Aegean Sea but we are lack of color. You can see some very interesting and colorful fish but you need scuba. As Aegean Sea is between Asia and Europe, its also hard to find a place that is not touched.

By the way, I sent you a mail.

i just went through all the thread.. just found it!

Thanks for all the comments guys, i've just got back from a big trip to the outer reefs (4 days out at sea).
I've got around 650 photos and movies from that trip on my computer ready to be sorted and posted.
Make sure you stay tuned to see the best of those several hundred shots, featuring everything from huge clams, to lionfish at night, to sharks, to regal and sixbar angels, to massive acroporid forests and everything in between!
