And salt. At least behind the tank. I splash a lot myself.

A plain white panel $40 each at Home Depot.
Oh, that looks good for the walls of the fish room. I haven't gotten to finishing that area off yet, just been working on the "family" room area where the display will be located.
 
I chose T11 siding for the fish room. I think there were 2 thicknesses. What I have can hold screws for mounting even heavy things and can be taken down easily

The other stuff is a thin waterproof sheet that will protect the paint and drywall.
