They can but mostly seen spliting!But not many spilt and live in the home aquarium!Only the best of the aquariums are able to support these type of anemones!I had one for a year moved it and the salinity changed by 2 points and I lost it!Shows how sinsitive these animals are!
I hope you're right, and it is indeed budding a new anemone. I doubt it though. I've seen Elegance and haddoni do that. I've never seen it turn into another individual. I've never heard of crispa reproducing in this way either. It's probably just the way it healed from a wound. I hope you can keep us posted though. If it forms a pedal disk and detaches this will be something for the science books.
