Help hanging radions

I have 4 gen 3 pros, 2 short rail kits and one premium Radion hanging kit (not the one for the RMS rail, but the older one). I don't want to pay 300+ to buy a new hanging system so my question is...

Could I get away hanging all 4 radions from the two cables in the kit? Too heavy? If the RMS hanging kit any different, like stronger cable? Would I just use ceiling toggle anchors or would I have to use the joists?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks,
David

Hey just another idea to throw out at you. If you want x & y movement of the lights t slot, 80/20 is the way to go. I'm going to be doing this in the near future.
Some guy made a thread on it I can find and share the link if you are interested.

I just weighed a Radion with the full cable and it came to 3.5 lbs. Without the full cable around 3 lbs.

So the weight of the Radions and cables you are looking at approx. 14lbs.
Then add the weight of the rail kit. I have no idea, but am guessing less than 5lbs.

So maybe 19lbs. is the total weight. divided by 2, would be the weight each toggle bolt.
I have no idea how much weight sheetrock and toggle bolts would hold over a moist environment, but if it were me, I would want to screw into a ceiling joist.

I'm sure the cables can hold more than the total 19lbs. each.

In one of those links I posted my first attempt at making a Radion hanging rack that sits on top of my euro braced tank.

I saw a picture on another forum where a guy used similar materials, but hung the whole rack from his ceiling.

Bad I have dinoflagellates :(
Raising ph up to 8.5, also bought a UV light crossing my fingers. So far it's a mild case but I'm on it.

Yeah for sure watch hanging your light brackets in drywall. I'm going to do a modified version of the link I sent and install in my canopy. Finally figured out two radions was not enough coverage and recently added a t5s. I like the t5 led combo so I'm going to order a giesemann matrixx ii 6 bulb fixture.

I used keyhole brackets to mount the unit's four bolts directly to the canopy access trap in a flush mount, but they have to be 'blocked,' so that they can't move unless you want them to---so that you can lift the canopy off at need. Precise measurement by template is a must. And I did have to get bolts with a different-shaped head. Just tossing that out for anybody with a canopy.
