Anthias only require to feed 3 times a day?!! If thats it its no biggie guys?!

Chromis have a MUCH BETTER survial rate than anthias IMHE ... anthias aren't fish you can just throw in your tank and expect them to be there the next day ... mortality rates seem to be high.

AS OPPOSED TO THE chromis .. you are practically GURANTEED to see them regradless of what happens LOL (clearly an exageration but you get my point) ... so NO it's not just feeding them 3X a day that make them difficult ....

Go with the chromis. If you get tired of them, they will slowly disappear. I don't think they have long lifespans.

I get away with feeding my anthias every other day on the weekdays and the weekend.

The key to keeping anthias IME:

1. Chose only those that are active and eat like hogs
2. Stay away from the shy ones.
3. Give them plenty of swimming room and current.
4. Keep one or at least three.

I find that Bartletts are hardier than squamis.

Thanks for all the tips guys, I appreciate it. Chromis it is!

I will ask for 7-8 of em tommorow.

Thanks

Sam

Lyretail anthias are not hard to keep. In my 90g I have a pair and 2 chromis, 1 died. They have been together almost 2 years.
