Man, I am sorry to hear that, what size tank was it?

Try a piece of ice to get the carpet off, touch it close to the base. I have heard this works.

man so sorry to hear this wish I was closer to you....be more than happy to help out with anything.....hope all is well and everything works out

I will try the ice trick :)

The rock is a good size maybe like 9lbs 12 in or so

I also have a very small purple tip condy I need to find a home for as well.

:mad2::mad2: I can not get him loose!!! Im short and hanging over this tank I have blood rushing to my head. lol U have tried ice and blow dryer neither are working! I had my daughter even put ice under tank cuz water was getting cold, while I worked on his foot and he just does not want to budge. I need to get this water out to stop it from leaking all over my floor. OMG this sucks!!!!

Hang the rock up side down , over a bucket of tank water . It may take several hours , but it will drop into the bucket of water .

Wow, I am really sad to hear about your tank. Maybe someone will have an unused tank hanging around? What size was it? Short term you can set it up in a plastic tote.

Thanks so much for you help!! You are my savior!! Btw you forgot one bucket. I can drop it off when ever I head out that way one day if you would like :) Thanks again!

Update. Joseph took my 2 condy's one was attached to a rock and the other was just a small quarter size purple tip. I am sure they will love their new home :) Carpet is now in my small 10g for now. We do have a friend who has a 55g with stand and hood for $80 so we will probably get that. So question though. I will have to cycle the tank right? I know the 10g wasn't cycled as it was a qt but as you know I had no other choice:sad2:

my new office is at webb and memorial, south of sheldon. I have plenty of room.

Thanks !! Josephv helped me out!

Get a large rubbermaid container. This saved me when my tank leaked years ago.
Thanks, Ya I had a 10g for now, Thankfully! 20 gallons on floor though. No Carpet thank goodness!!

If your live rock stayed submerged during the disaster you shouldn't have much of a cycle. If it was in the air for a significant period of time you will have some die off and a cycle, although it will probably be abbreviated.
