Heteractis magnifica- Please help

Hi All

I bought a Heteractis magnifica about 2 days ago. Its really big but doesnt seem to look like all the pictures I have seen.

It has attached to a rock but if lying all flat out with the tentacles all deflated and its mouth really wide open asndthis white stuff (like its insides)almost coming out.

Is this normal for a new addition to the tank??

Should I be blasting it with current or direct the powerheads way from it?

No blasting but gentle back and forth. Wide current as opposed to piercing current. I like to aim powerheads just above my anemones. Never directly at the base.

Your experience says 1 year. How long has the tank been up? Post all your water parameters? This nem is about the toughest to keep. It will be a long time before I try one again.

If it has been two days for you w/o change, I'd say you are likely to lose it. Be careful it doesn't die and wipe out your tank. At least it has attached. Post a pic if you can.
