I was out for a long time while I was consulting between jobs (I was a casualty of the the Sanofi takeover of Genzyme) . I helped start a new company in November (PixarBio) and now might be able to be around once in a while.
Glad everything is working out for your new company. The commercial world has indeed become ruthless with all the buy-outs occurring. You have survived with flying colors.
Good Lord, the man who literally got me into Evidence Based Reefing dang near ten years ago. Glad to see you as always, sir! I want to add: You're like the Neil deGrasse Tyson of Reefing, to me.
As noted in earlier post on a different thread ;it's good to have you back.I've modeled many of my methods based on information gleaned from you. Thought I'd post here just to sign the welcome back card. Good luck with your new venture.
It is extremely comforting knowing Randy will be around again. I'm also glad to see Cliff Babcock is still around too. I have missed both of these guys.
Glad to see you back Randy...I've read all your reef related articles and really appreciate your devotion to furthering this hobby. Good luck on the new venture with the company, and keep in mind protein glycosylation. So much of the interactions between proteins and other proteins or small molecules are ignored because they involve N- and O-linked glycans which are inherently hard to study. With you being a polymer chemist developing pharmaceuticals for use in biological systems(humans) I am sure they will influence your research and drug design at some point.
