The video came out pretty nicely on Vimeo. I didn't try the other one. How big was the original file you uploaded?

The drainline into your skimmer section is running too deep. I would set it up to be 1" beneath the surface. Looks like a very pretty tank. Who built it?

the original file is about 70 megs, shot from a Sanyo Xacti HD700.

thanks for the advice. :D what problem does the deep drain cause?

the tank is an A.G.E.

No wonder I liked that tank.

The drain being too far in the water may end up 'burping' as water tries to get out and can't quite overcome the submerged section. 1" underwater is enough to avoid any problems and still keeps the sound to a minimum.

I was wondering how big a HD file was. I'm still not using that technology quite yet, thus my questions. :)

Nice tank!

I would put the elegant on the sand bed. That is where the elegant is found in nature.. mostly on sand bed around macro algeas.
I have also an elegant coral and put it half way up in my tank and as it grew bigger (almost the size of an basketball in my case) it burnt itself under the MH (I have 250W also).

Wow there are some awesome vids and tanks on here!

My vid is not the greatest in quality but for any of you who want to see a little bit of what a lower flow LPS tank looks like this will give you an idea:

I see that. I really like how the surface of your water is nice and clean, as well as the tank of course.

What is the second coral you display for a good duration in the beginning of the video? It looks like some type of daisy polyp, but then again it almost looks like macro algae.

The pipefish is adorable. How long have you had it? Do you target feed it anything?

That little surface skimmer does a good job.

The camera is a little blurry on that clip so its hard to tell its a pipe organ.

Here is a pic of it:

I've only had the pipefish for a little over a month. He has plenty of live pods to feed on for quite awhile but I am culturing more in a small tank for him. This way I'll know the tank is always stocked well enough. I will try to get him on prepared foods down the road but he is just too small right now.
