Housing two emperors together

That was how I did it. The Idol was the second fish in my new 240. The first was a blue devil that I already had from my previous tank. I think it helped that he was able to settle in with essentially no competition and no aggression from other fish.

That is the preferred method. But either way I always keep an extra tank or two running for new fish to check/ treat for disease and most important to allow the fish to destress, start eating and put weight back on (in most cases.)

The use of an acclimation container is also a good idea.

Or in the extreme case I had to remove my powder blue months back as he was terrorizing a pair of GSM, a wrasse and butterfly I added. Kept him out for 6 weeks by himself and when I put him back everything was fine.

Seriously, what kind of lfs wouldn't return it? I mean I get not for a full refund, but not even 200 in credit on a 360$ fish.

Not qting makes my tank nervous.

Good luck!
