I introduced a New (juvi) male to a established female ossy. She isn't taking chunks or anything out of the newbie, but is definitely establishing her dominance. its been two weeks. he does the little submission dance when she approaches and then she chases him around the tank but no frayed fins or the like.

I just feel bad for the little guy. How long can I expect this to last?

This is why I do the breeder box intro, no stress to the new guy.
Females do not always accept a male, a box allows close proximity w/out issues.
I would possibly still try that.

Agreed. That's how I introduced my juvie to my 7 year old female. I left it in the breeder box for about a week. My female only showed mild interest and no aggression at all so I let the juvie clown loose.

It can take a very long time, don't be surprised if it is in the order of 1-3 months before she calms down. The small juvenile males are tough though. The bigger issue is if the male can get enough to eat during this time, but IME they can get by on very little food. I think he will make it.

He actually eats well each day.

I had him in a breeder and she showed interest but left him alone.actually seems to get more annoyed when h he'd doesn't follow to the anemone.
