How to build a CO2 regulator for your calcium reactor.

Thanks for the response but please forgive my ignorance. I'm trying to figure out how this is going to connect. This is what I have

The metering valve is 1/4" and the solenoid is 1/8 female. I'm thinking I'm going to need some compression fittings as well.

That needle valve is a high flow valve. It wont work.

Okay thanks. After rereading your original post I noticed that. I was hoping I could use it. I guess I will need to get a low flow or medium flow valve. Thanks for the help.

I've had my regulator off for a few months and co2 tank off since my tank has been drained and restarted. I was getting ready to start it up again and can't get any co2 to come out. I'm guessing my solenoid is no good anymore? Is that really the only thing it could be if I have plenty of gas in the tank?

Using a needle valve? Make sure it's as open as possible to check for flow. Solenoid should have a light to show whether it's getting power at least.

Yes I have a needle valve. I think the solenoid is busted. It's not clicking when I turn it on/off and no light.

I wonder if any of you guys would be kind enough to take a look at the regulator I linked in post 1068. It says it's for helium, nitrogen and argon but wondered if I could put the fitting for CO2 on it and be good to go.

That reg will work. You need to change it to cga 320 nipple and nut.!

Any body have a link to a chrome nipple to attach to a CO2? I searched on ebay but I must not be looking for the right thing. Any help is appreciated.
