any pics of the stand done?

I haven't reassembled the stand since it's been stained. We took it home in pieces and I never added the side/front panels back. Here are some shots of it unfinished though.

Everything is all stained now and in the garage waiting, i'm breaking it down in a day or two once the floor trim is done. Give me another two weeks or so and i'll have some better pictures of the finished product assembled and ready to be plumbed.

Yes, you'll get your "welcome to club" when you actually get it set-up!

Get ready to print up my membership card... I just got done bringing the stand inside. :) Plumbing is on the way from Savko and will hopefully be here tomorrow so I might be able to get start plumbing this weekend! Also, I ended up having to go with white PVC because they don't make some of the pieces I need in black. :furious:

It did actually wind up being cheaper and any repairs can now be done with the help of the local Home Depot/Lowes, but it's a bummer... I was looking forward to doing an entire tank in black PVC. Oh well, it's getting done and that's all that matters to me at this point!

The tank is now in the living room, the stand is leveled and good to go, and i'll be starting the lighting tonight. Pictures to come soon... just had to take a break and do some PC work.

It just wouldn't be an update without some pictures, now would it?

Ed,
glad to see progress is being made here...Funny thing about white PVC...add black Krylon spray paint, and you have black PVC. This also covers up those unsightly magic marker lines I use to align the PVC joints so that things stay at the correct angle for my needs...

Just a thought.

The front panels are held on by standard cabinet magnets. The stand is just a normal stand with the top/bottom trim work attached. The front / side panels just sit on there. More pictures to come. :)

I've decided not to care and just get some water running through the thing! Saved a ton at Savko going with white PVC and it turned out okay anyway. Thanks for the idea though. Maybe on the next one. ;)

And the moment you've all been waiting for ... the tank assembly begins!
