I split my carpet (unwillingly)

Very nice, I am glad they are healing.
What are their approximate sizes now that they have really started to heal?

This is very interesting, and thank you sooooo much for documenting it.

Just so I have this right. You have three pieces of the anemone, correct?

I sure hope all of them survive. This is such a beautiful animal.

I think he reported the smallest died and two doing well

Thanks Minh. Now I see where the smaller one didn't make it. The small one really shouldn't count anyway. I don't think anyone believes you can frag a small piece off a haddoni and have it turn into a new anemone. It will be very interesting to see how the other two pieces do.

I released the 2 surviving pieces from the plastic container because they started to bleach out some due to the lack of light. Since both are looking good from what I can see of them. They have moved to spots in the tank that are very difficult to see.

This is very interesting and a new one for me,Id be interested in seeing how these do after 6-8 months after the split.

Lol. Actually there is news but its bad. One of the halves died. I have had a hair algae outbreak in the tank they are in and I think that has adversely affected their health. I know hair algae can be toxic to inverts in quantity. Its too bad they were doing so good. I can't see the other half hardly. I've done big water changes and I'm hoping for the best.
