Anyone know an easy way to make a skimmer stand?

Here is a pic. of my DIY skimmer stand that was used on an ETSS RD II.

This was extra PVC I used as risers for installing live rock in a DSB display tank. It became the home for many calcareous worms and the like in my sump.

Looking foward to how the small will work with the tunze 9410 pump when it is avalible. I talked to Roger at tunze today, he said down to a few weeks befor they are in. John said it would be nice to have a dedicated pump avalibe specificly for the skimmer.

Also very interested. I've been watching this thread from the beginning. Due to the constraint of my sump space (10.5" x 11.5"), most of the newer design skimmers don't fit. The small cone is like a blessing to me. According to John's response, the small's foot print without pump is 8.75" x 6.50". Can any of the small cone owners give me an idea of the space required with the pump install?
As far as I know, the DOC skimmer 9410 is already available in LFS and the price on the 9410.040 pump is also shown on Tunze's website. Don't understand why the pump is still not available yet.![]()

Thanks Plato, that makes sense.
mordibv, thank you for your suggestion. I've thought about the possibility of incorporating an elbow or even two elbows to reposition the pump. My only concern is whether the pump's performance will be cut back by such modification. What do you think?
Also, what would be the possible problem if I put a sicce pump on the small? microbubbles? Has anyone experimented on that?

I would love to see it too but I don't think it's needed . I emptied my cup this morning . I just got home from work .I just took this pict to share This is a pleasant surprise . The bubbles are way smaller now and it doesn't burp anymore .

Mordibv, What pump you using? When did yours stop "burping?" How long you had yours running? Also, do you not have your airline hooked up to the riser pipe?
Thanks! You got the small I-tech right?
Thanks a ton!
