i want to make sure my system is good enough to hold them i have an eclipse 12 thats realy not an eclipse 12 ne more my old top filter burned out fast replaced with a fluval 105 and i have a prizum delux protien skimmer i have 20 lbs of live rock and im planning on making a small internal refigium my light is the stock 13 watt PC i wondring if just upgrading to acitnic is enough or should i dump my hood and get a 70w MH clamp on also if i custom build an acrylic clear top cause my gammas a jumper would i loose efectiveness of the light or would i green house bake my fish i was thinking of drilling a ton of holes in it for air exsposure but would keep the fishies in there

Not enough light for corals with only 13 watts. I wouldn't get the 70 watt MH from JBJ. My friends 12g nanocube did much better with the 150w MH from coralife.

okayw ell i guess i have 2 little questions left if i build a custom lid out of clear acrilic with a ton of like 1/4 inch holes drilled in it will i get enough gas exchange do MH lights give the nice colors oof acitnic

It should be OK. Just put a fan blowing across the top. The MH do give nice color. I like them better than PC. You just need a 14K-20K bulb to get the nice blue color.
