ID on an anomone

My husband and I were at the LFS this afternoon and I saw this anemone and clown. There were a few in the tank, but there wasn't any information on the glass. I was wondering if you guys had any idea what type of anemone it was? I figured out the clown, but the anemone remains a mystery!

Would this species be too much for a 12g nano? Thanks!!

Rose bubble tip and its spelled anemone. And for a 12gal? yes it gets to big, about 15in or so when it gets full grown.

Typo, sorry.

But thanks for the quick reply.

Is there an anemone that you would suggest for a tank that size?

Every type of anemone that will host clownfish grows to be 12 inches at the smallest. Most get to be 18-24 inches.

If you dont care about the clowns being hosted a Stichodactyla Tapetum (Maxi-mini, mini carpet) would work in that size.

you can get some maximini carpet anenome's and some sexy shrimp for them they will work great for a 12 gal

Not sure about the Anemone, but those two yellow Tangs are doomed in a 12 gallon nano!

I think/hope that the picture was from the LFS, and not the OP's tank.

SputnikNYC --- LOL... I will have to second on that... :D

Yes, I misspelled anemone, but don't worry I'm not dumb enough to put tangs in a 12g :) They are at the LFS in a very LARGE tank.

I'm just weighing my options as to how to stock my tank right now. I won't be upgrading to a bigger tank. My husband has a 120g in the living room, so there's not much room in the house for anything bigger.
