ID please. Safe starfish?

Found this thing under my shriveled up acans.

Doing much better after I removed it. Still see 2 in my DT waving there arms around.

Any ID would me much help thanks.
 
there are brittle stars and bristle worms. you have a brittle star and they are awesome to have in your tank!

I was gonna ask both of you that.....

Brittle Star - some say they will attack fish that "sleep" on the sandbed, but mine never did. Very good for the CUC.

Green Brittle stars, especially when they get larger, are notorius for helping themselves to a midnight snack or two. The other brittle stars and the serpant stars willa ll be fine. What you have looks like a "mini" brittle star - very benificial, and if you found 1, you can bet there are more. Their population will become self-limiting depedant on food supply.(detritus, mainly)
