Hey people! Man, I have been sooo stinking slammed lately. I have not had much time to check these boards and see what's going on with you all. I've been updating the office blog with images though and thought I'd share a few here :). Been a busy year for me with work off the hook, getting married, our honeymoon to Fiji (yes in deed!), and, yeah, it's been a lot. Lucky me I have some real cute subjects to shoot in the neighborhood :).

Only good things can await when you see this on the arrival flight!

How cool is this!? There were 4 of them, but only three in this image.

Amazing place.

If you have not seen them I have a ton of other images at my office blog pages. Cheers! http://www.iptalaska.com/Pages/blog_pages/2012/Page-4.html

Great to see you posting pics again!
Someone was just asking about Alaskan reefers the other day & I wondered where you were.

Hey Louis. Good to see you around. I'll get through your blog tomorrow when I'm more awake. Congrats!!!!!

Wonderful Louis! Congrats on all the big exciting things going on for you!

Were you scuba diving in FIji? And what gear did you use to capture your underwater images?

Thanks Jesse! Yeah, let me know what you think about the blog. There are 17 pages of pictures there.

Amazing pictures! Would love to see more :)

Here's two more - but there are tons on my offices blog site (http://www.iptalaska.com/Pages/blog_pages/2012/page-1.html) . You can go back to 2011 as well - there are nearly 30 pages worth of images including the Northern Lights, Moose Galore, and more.

Thanks :). No, no diving for me. I’m not cert. My wife is though and she dove a few times. Once in the Somo-something straight. It is supposed to be one of the premiere dive sites in the world. I snorkeled out there while she dove. Also in another area close to the resort we were at.
I was using the Canon S90 in the Canon underwater case. For this trip I bought the Sea and Sea YS-01 strobe. I am not a flash guy at all so there was some learning going on to say the least :). I really missed the focusing of my DSLR’s and my comfort with adjusting settings on the fly – but I was not about to splurge for a case for the DSLR’s. Not yet at least :). I think diving would have been easier. It was tought to dive down with lungs full of air, get to the depth, hold the position fighting my bouyancy, focus, and get the shot. Unless it was shallow I could usually get at most two or three shots off at at time. WOuld have been nice to just hover there and fiddle with settings and focus.

Great to see you posting pics again!

Here there and everywhere :). You know the “reef community” up here is not very good. They tried to get a club going a few times but there is just not enough people or commitment to make it work. We are down to one shop in town for fish (except the big box places). It happens to be a nice shop with some great livestock but for sure we don’t have swap meets or stuff like you all have in the “lower 48”!

Before I get into stuff, the blog wouldn't let me past pg. 13.

Ok now that that's over with, very beautiful. In the wedding pics and honeymoon pics I must say, you two look like peas in a pod. I hope to be telling you guys this in the next 25 years. Congrats again.

On the landscapes, as always very beautiful stuff. The Aurora always amazes me. Someday!! Also the corals are just amazing. I really liked the shot with the young boy waiting for the rain to stop. But you know me. I just loved the baby moose. Broke out in laughter at the on he was sleeping.

As always, Great stuff!!! Thanks!!!!! :D

Again, stunning pictures! The Northern Lights pictures are phenomenal! I would love to see them in person. Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks everyone ...another from yesterday. it must have been a tough night, they were both down for the count! Cute enough to see the baby curled up, but the momma too? Come on! Strange to see such a large animal curled up :).

Hey man, good to see you still posting. I was wondering the other day why I hadnt seen any posts from you for a while.

Congratulations on the marriage, that's exciting :)

I actually think I met a woman you were with a couple years back, at one of the fish stores... but I cant remember if it was this one or not!

Thanks Grant - yeah, it has been a SUPER crazy year. Looks it is isn't letting up anytime soon either. Both good and bad I guess when business is booming. I'l stilll be making my Pilgramage to Denali later this year so I have that to look forward too.

Awe inspiring, and the blog makes them really stand out more. Your wife is gorgeous, her necklace at your wedding is beautiful, and the two of you look so happy together. Congratulations!
