hey Doc, you have a REALLY nice set up. I just (yesterday) picked up a 120g and have my fingers crossed that all goes well. Can I see more pics of your WXS? Looking for info/good ideas on how I might set mine up.

Thanks, the setup allow me hands off time and run it nearly on auto-pilot.

The WXS plan was to do a water change within ten mins and to keep maintenance separate. The glass is cleaned daily so there is no buildup of anything. Skimmers are cleaned at the end of my Thursday evening weekly (15 mins). Testing time is down to under 5mins. Fragging takes more time but is only done monthly.

I have two 50 gal drums side by side.
One drum hold RODI water (for topoff and holding) when I'm ready to make salt water I open up the valve and let all 50 gal drop into the mixing drum.

The Mixing drum has a heater, and 2 eheim pumps (one for mixing and one to pump out salt water into sump)

The second 50g drum is the redundancy drum which is inline with the entire system however it has its own pump pushing water up from the sump and a checkvalve to prevent backflow when the pump is turned off.

When its time to do a water change. I shut off the pump to the redundancy drum (drum #2), empty redundancy drum, then turn on the mixing pump and redundancy drum pump.
