Interzoo 2008- NEW!

Wow, those look cool! So the 6065s and 6085s will be out by the end of summer? Great! I'd glady take the controllable ones... but they cost so much. Curious on anyone's opinion for an SPS tank... would it be better to go with 2 6065s or 2 6085s? The 6065s would bring the turnover to around 27x and the 6085s around 33x. 33x is getting a little too much for the fish, don't you think? Being constant 33x turnover anyway.

i had constant 158x turnover in my old tank....

Wow! Fish don't mind then I'd assume? Alright... good to know. With SPS, it'd be most smart to go with the 6085s then? That'd put the tank around 33x turnover + a little more with return.

Be sure to produce LOTS of these pumps!!! I want to be able to buy a pair when they're released

Yes, MSRP for the pumps is as follows-

Non Controllable
6065-$151.81
6085-$200.17
6125-$266.00

Controllable
6105-$365.40
6205-$581.70
6305-$834.26

6065 and 6085 will be available in just a few weeks.

The 6125 should be available in August and the rest should follow in October/November.

I have about 55x (during the day) turnover in my tank. It really isn't that much when you consider how much water movement is disrupted by live rock, corals, etc.

I'd go for at least 50x if you are planning SPS.

Thanks, those prices seem great. Will definitely treat myself to a very nice birthday present in November ;)

When are the new 9420 cylinder style skimmers coming out? How will they be different from the version that is out right now? Thanks in advance

Scheduled for Oct/Nov. The difference is they will use a different pump. Same or similar airpull but using less watts as well as the outlet will flow thru a miron bag holder

I'm a big fan of tunze streams and my controller has served me well for years. I also like the tunze osmolator for top off, etc. The new model streams sound great and I'd like to be able to fit them in my system plans in the future. I hope its not too rude to ask but part of these inquiries involve somewhat of a competing controller product technically, though its pretty much a different category.

My aqualogic dual stage temp controller recently died on me and I am considering getting a feature rich 'all in one' type of controller instead of just replacing it. My tunze 7094 is a bit dated and I liked the idea of having my four tunze streams (and maybe the new models as replacements or additions) available on the whole-system controller. So I'm considering getting an aquacontroller JR or III with a few control modules including an aquasurf. I'm very interested in whether the new models of controllable stream pumps will be able to run on an aquasurf controller module. I understand that tunze reps can't guarantee anything or be responsible for a product they don't make and all that. And if you tell me to to hell and go ask the AC mfg thats fine too. However I also have several other nagging questions in my head...

.......... My questions.....
(I apologize if some have been answered already somewhere in this thread..)

-- Will the old tunze stream pumps run on new tunze controller?
-- Will the "old " 2x4-way expansion module run on the new model controller?
-- Will the "old" 2x4-way expansion modules work on the new pumps?
-- Can new controllable models of tunze stream pumps run on any of the the older controllers? Which?
-- Can the "old" style controllable stream pumps run on the same controller as the new controllable models (both types running at once)?
-- Can the new models of controllable stream pumps run on an aquasurf controller module?
-- Do the "old" 2x4-way expansion modules work on an aquasurf?

Thanks again for any input from anyone.

-- Will the old tunze stream pumps run on new tunze controller? - yes
-- Will the "old " 2x4-way expansion module run on the new model controller? - yes
-- Will the "old" 2x4-way expansion modules work on the new pumps? - - yes
-- Can new controllable models of tunze stream pumps run on any of the the older controllers? Which? - both new and old controllables will work on the 7091, 7094, 7095, 7096
-- Can the "old" style controllable stream pumps run on the same controller as the new controllable models (both types running at once)? - yes
-- Can the new models of controllable stream pumps run on an aquasurf controller module? - yes
-- Do the "old" 2x4-way expansion modules work on an aquasurf? -would assume so as it just splits the signal

Wow .. "yes" across the board. Thats awesome. Thanks for sifting through those questions and answering shawnz.

I think the 7094 won't work with a lot of the newer pumps though. Maybe the voltage is wrong? Could just be an omission.

"Along with Multicontroller 7095, 7096 or Singlecontroller 7091 they are an unbeatable team. No Problem In Case of Power Failure."

Thanks. Its really nice to see that Tunze treats their customers so well regarding designing compatibility across generations of equipment.

Though not aquarium related, several PC component/accessory/peripheral companies are horrible in this regard.

I'd also like to say that tunze support of the products I own has been great.
