Now you see what I mean about super bright? No dark areas at all on this 40" wide tank. The only other thing I have seen that I dislike is how the light escapes on the left and right side of the tank. The front and back is perfect because it has the angled T5's which block it. One thing I did on these pics is I blacked out the stand so you guys wont see some of my temporary white PVC. Thats how the stand will look anyways

Could anyone tell me how you make those 3d models. I am trying to design a tank and it would help me out a lot.

Chris, AGE built it, but purchased from Aquarium Environments in Houston. Which Giesemann do you have and which bulbs? Would like to see what you tried out and what you like.

Overall, the final project should look something like this (not including the spot lights). I will be rotating light activation throughout the day while some spots come on first, the core, then others.. etc. I have the photoperiod time in a spreadsheet on how i want this to work. My initial goal is to have the core lights for as short as time as possible.. possibly 4 hrs. The colors of the corals will be my guide throughout the year. The core lights will give the corals its true colors (light or dark) vs the supplemental MH's and T5's are for the corals reflective properties which is an instant look vs the core which takes months to acheive. Another factor to this is the specimens I will be keeping as most softies dont need as much light.
