At this rate I estimate pictures of his garage / sump room sometime around the election....

lol jk Edward ;)

OK so I lied... I wasnt done. I had a remote ballast stand made that would match the main display stand. The giesemann spectra ballasts will be moved to fit in this mini stand. The ballasts were measured out to fix exactly inside of it. One thing that always scares me is having those things under my fish tank. If it were to ever leak, I would be in trouble. I will have an electrician come and lengthen the wires and run them through the wall.

Edward,

Just spent the last two hours reading through this thread, all I can say is this is gonna be one spectacular system when it all grows in.

If ever you need anything I have, please do not hesitate to get a hold of me, my tank is not what it use to be , and by no means of the caliber of your newest system, but, anything you want just ask...........

John

 that's a very nice and clean setup. thanks Ed for that pic and i see how its assemble. i love those hinges and those are the heavy duty ones as i used the same on my setup. if you can give us some more details on that biomatix systems and how it perform would be really nice. also i will be down there this weekend if any LFS you can recommend with a large selection will be great.

Terry, thanks! It's not as complicated as your design, but it's enough for me :)

Marshall, thank you as well. How are you liking your AGE tank so far? Welcome to the AGE club :)

jnarower, which controller do you own? Im already loving the controller. I never owned one before so it's a new change for me. It gives me more peace of mind.

GSM, you're probably right. ;) I seriously wanted to take this new tank slowly. One step at a time. On my last tank, I did everything so fast and then got bored of it. Now, when I get new toys, it makes me love my tank more and keeps that everlasting feeling.

John, LONG TIME NO SEE!! Where have you been? I miss your beautiful tank! You had skills when it came to keeping a reef aquarium. I dont know anyone who can grow their corals so fast in the U.S. unlike yourself. :) Do you have a new thread?

cbui, no problem. The hinges do look heavy duty. Im not a carpenter so I am not sure if they are the best, but they do look great. What day are you planning to come to Houston? The Houston LFS's are All About Fish, T&T, Fish Gallery and City Pets. I would hit those up if you can for some livestock.

I love the new stand. You could never give me enough photos of your tank; I’m always hungry for more. Your photos always have shadows that really highlight your tank. Sometimes I think you’re trying to hide something. :)

The new stand looks great! The Biomatix controller is perfectly flush with the stand. What are you feeding the fish and coral?

What a stand!! And I love it's little brother too. How much of a pain was it to switch that with what you had before??

mcrist, not hiding anything but sometimes I try to capture the colors as best that I can and when you focus in on one thing, everything else around it is darker. I like taking pics at night too since more color is acheived.

ricky, i feed formula 2, formula prime, coral mix, brine, mysis, copepods, etc. I feed a variety.

nugz, I didnt have anything before. Do you mean the stand? or soemthing else?

corn, im not sure what a voyager is. May want to consult with Chris at Biomatix.

Im glad that the stand came out as planned. 1 yr ago, I designed the stand (pic below) and sure enough it matches to the T. :)

Looks good Edward, now you don't have an excuse to keep me from coming to look at your tank.

You should have the electrician drop you an Ethernet line while he lengthens your ballast cables.

Man I haven't been around in awhile - it looks amazing Edward, great work! That stand is fantastic, and really cool controller. I'm totally jealous - I got some doors custom made to put my controller in and it didn't work.

I'd better not show the Mrs this thread or she'll ask why her living room is always a mess.

Edward,

Just been busy my friend, thanks for the kind words.

I still have the same tank, some of the same corals even, but many of them grew too large to keep all together so I sold off a large bunch of things a few years back, and now things have filled in pretty nicely.

I have not had any pics of it as it currently sits in quite some time, I suppose I should get some new frontals done.....

The offer still stands, if you need anything I have let me know......

When you return it, pick up the wireless game adapter WGA54G and see if it works better. It's about half the price and I found it was very good.

beautiful tank and i have hesitated commenting as i don't have a big tank yet. but i do have some input here. I agree with this suggestion. I use one at the office so our sales people can bring their laptops into work. I also use one at my house (built in 1948) so that we can have net access through out. My router is located at the front of the house, and you can get up to 65% sig strength at a distance of ~ 60 yards (my back fence, welcome to south florida).

Yeah Edward I was talking about the stand. It had to be sitting on something before. Did you just build around what was there or is it a whole new stand??

WOW!!! I'm SO in love :inlove: with your new stand and mini stand. It matches your home perfectly. I can not wait to drive to Houston to see your set up in person this year.
