bag151, I will definitely run the wires. Thats the only missing link now to completing the front and rewiring the spots with a new replaced spot pendant to make it look cleaner.

David, i remember your controller install. Why didnt it work? Mine feels solid as if its part of the stand.

John, you are too kind. I really appreciate it. There are many great friends from RC and the reefing community that I will never forget.

Von, thanks for the details. I returned it and will hardwire now.

nuz, its the same steel stand. except now, a skin was placed around it. you can see details on my blog.

marc, almost done and you can stop by every weekend. :)

Well, the CNC cut in the door was great and perfectly molded for the BII. But the cut only supported the black acrylic faceplate. The body is stuck with an adhesive. The body weight was too heavy for the adhesive - (when deciding on adhesive, they figured it only had to hold a two ounce piece of acrylic, not the other way around) so it fell off. It never really fell, but it was sliding and I caught it just in time.

MikeD has the same cut and its working for him. Eventually Jesse will come up with a brace to hold the body in - and I'll order a new set of doors. Although I think my own version of what ycnibrc did with his ACIII might work. We'll see.

If you must use an adhesive, you might want to consider Industrial Strength Velcro. You can get it at any of the warehouse home improvement stores, and I swear I could hang from it.

bogg, thank you!

reefholic, you're funny! That was my daughters xmas present to my wife when were out shopping. I didnt have anything at the moment to put on the mini stand so I just used her gift. :)

David, ADG built mine with 2 braces on the back. Its very solid. I like how he did it. it doesnt budge at all.

Totally...he's a clown! I see his funny replies all over the place. hehe

Invincible,
I just thought I should make you aware that you are to blame for my delay in setting up my new tank. I made the error of purchasing my half circle tank without looking through your thread. Now, after following this thread, I am determined to set-up a rimless tank regardless of any monetary losses. Seriously though, your tank is truly inspiring...I will have I rimless!!!

triunfo! Sorry about that!!! :)

Finally someone who understands the unification of aesthetics; the outside and the inside. Glad to see the attention to detail. I've been a reader of your blog and followed this project very closely. I'm working on something of my own along the same lines. Excellent job and continue to keep us posted.

Those fish add so much to your already incredible tank. Those less-appreciative of SPS will appreciate the movement and activity provided by the fish, not to mention the benefit your corals will receive from all of the dookie they'll be a'dumpin.

Can you please remind me how you are managing top-off, RO/DI storage and salt water storage?

Great stuff, Edward, as usual!

Mike
