Yeah, it's pretty cool! It seems like they swim circles around his SPS island!

:)

Are they damsels or Blue reef Chromis?
They look awesome though.

I stopped by ADG yesterday to look at stand skins and they brought out the box of veneer swatches, you have 20million choices.
I can see why you went with a black, so much easier to pick out. :P j/k

All those damsels give me wood. Very nice new school approach to an old school idea.

The inset controller screen is great. If it were me, I'd paint the bezel black or something. The writing on it reduces the clean awsomeness ...

reefsociety, thank you very much.

Kigs, yes they are.

Mike, thank you as well. I wanted to add some more life and having smaller fish with more would make it come alive more. As for my RO/DI, I use a 20g acrylic reservoir. I have a pic of this in my BLOG under the equipment section. You can see how it gets triggered. Let me know if you need me to explain it in detail.

13threef, thank you!

mcrist, thank you!

nugz, thank you. Who would of thought some cheap damsels would look great? ;)

Marc, thanks! It is crazy. I am thinking of adding a couple more.

Terry, thanks!!! They do swim around the rock where there is light. They stay away from the dark side. This is when my spotlight was on only.

Kris, you are welcome anytime! Just let me know when you want to stop by. Cant wait to see your tank running!

cbui, they dont really school but my tank has definitely come alive. I see a bunch of glowing blue fish all over the tank. Looks neat! As for the maintenance, I vaccuum it every month.

Brett, they are damsels. I have the chromis, but the damsels look better. :) And they are more active. As for the stand, there are SO many more options from other brands too.

CW, whats wood?? ;) jk. Do you mean the biomatix face?

In that case, I don't even want to know what a school of Sohals or something would do to you.

Beautiful tank Edward. Really enjoyed reading this thread this weekend. Motivated me to get off my azz and vacuum my tank, do a big water change, as well as relocating a few corals. Showed my wife pictures of your house and tank hoping it would get her motivated to clean our house, but it didn't go over so well!

You may have alrady said it, but what type of damsel did you go with for your large group?

The visual effect in the FTS pics is very cool!

Ed, Your tank is looking so spectacular :D. I love that controller and the skin on your stand. Super nice lines and goes with the whole overall ambiance of the room and tank.

Hi Ed,

To clarify, I did NOT mean the LCD screen, I meant whatever it is that is framing the LCD screen. It appears that the biomatrix name is printed in white letters on the frame around the screen. It may be that the way the LCD is built, you can't make that go away. But for me, I'd have a clean black frame around that little LCD.

Did that make sense?

PS, A school of Sohals? /faint

Edit: I went back and looked at the picture carefully. I looks like you are stuck with all the white around the LCD. Oh well. It still looks fantastic.

Edward, so is the french maid how you keep your house so clean? HAHA

How aggressive are the damsels so far? I have seen them be some mean little basta....

Slow down there mcrist :)

Invincible... or can i call you Edward?? How is the agression between those damsels? I just love all the open space in your tank. We tried keeping a school of damsels together in one of the displays of the LFS that i used to work in and their numbers dwindled slowly due to agression. I wonder whether this was down to the size difference between the fishes. Are all yours of a relatively similar size?

Bax, they are regular blue damsels.

Alicia, thank you very much.

CW, I thought thats what you meant. It is removable, but I actually think it looks ok. It helps me identify things when I have it on the status page.

bag151, no its a mexican maid. lol. jk The damsels have been good so far. No issues yet.

13, you can call me Edward. No problem there! These fish are teh smallest they come i suppose. Some do follow each other around, but no casualties yet. We will see if this happens with my tank. It's pretty wide so i hope they all get alone.
