its been a fun ride guys...

Guys, I just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words, support and encouragement :).

My number one priority during this ordeal was keeping my family safe from the toxic molds. The bonus was doing a lot of the work ourselves to stretch our dollars which was very rewarding.

Now, we get to focus on what stuff gets brought back into the house. My wife is super ecstatic with her "œnew" kitchen, flooring and carpeting. I want our garage back and our front/back yards cleared of all the clutter.

Most of all, I want my ankle sprain healed up so I can get back to my true passions :D.

It's been a bittersweet experience for me. Rob, Jeremy, Pam and Jason witnessed the chaos at one stage or another. Honestly, at one point when I was alone chucking the dead, I nearly threw up :mad2:. But that could have been due to all the drywall dust, tile and mortar dust, cabinet stain/varnish smells, carpet and pad dander that piled up in my lungs ;).

I've got a babysitter lined up for stuff in the remaining bin and plan to have that torn down over the next couple days.

After that, I'm going to let the dust settle (*Literally*) for a couple months or so. We've got the surviving fish and shrimp to enjoy and maybe some of the corals in the display will pull thru.

With all your support and words of encouragement, how can I get out :celeb1:! What an awesome community!

Tim,

That sucks Bud! Sorry to hear about the losses. As corny as it may sound, you've still got your family and your health. This is just a tank. It can all be replaced if you so choose. Let me know if I can be any help.

Tim,

Really sorry to hear about your ordeal. Everything must be over whelming, but things always have a way of turning out. I'm glad to hear you're going to be continuing in the hobby and I'm sure your tank will be better than before.

Tim...nothing I can add, just a bummer.
I was hoping I might see you this Saturday but it sounds like that ankle has other plans. That must be driving you crazy!
Here's to a speedy recovery...tank and ankle

The floor does look very nice Tim :sad1:

May you find some solace in your down time, you've been to the top of the mountain and back bro...you definitely deserve it

Warmest regards to you and your family Tim. :)

Tim first of all Im glad you and the family is ok.
After reading this over and over for the last two days I can't tell you how bad I feel about the tank I was speechless to say the least.
If you ever decide to get it going I want you to know it would be a pleasure to contribute any frags I have that I have got from you or for that matter any corals I have at that time.
This is a good example of how fragging out our corals to others in case we do lose them we can recover and start over.
Best wishes to you and your family and I hope I have the pleasure of talking to you again in the future

Tim......

I don't know what to say, but would have said it sooner had I been on more.

Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

So sorry to hear this Tim. WHEN you decide to set up again, I have a nice frag of that green nodulating montipora. It's in a corner of my tank when you're back up. That and a whole bunch of anthelia! :D

Can't wait to see what the next generation will bring!

Nice home improvement Tim and good job taking care of the family, your loss is really secondary.

Tim,

So sorry to hear that this ordeal happened to such a great guy. As we discussed, I am happy to lend any hand necessary to you in the future. And everything in my tank that was once yours, can certainly be again.

Good luck,

Neil

Tim Im about to tear down my tank and sell all, ya the economy found me. You can HAVE anything in my tank as I know its going to the right person. Your tank photos were inspirational to all of us, I've had conversations with strangers at LFS about your tank.

just got back from a week in Chicago so this is the first I've hear of this. Wow, all I can say is that I'm sorry that this happened to you. Your tank was always an inspiration and example of what was possible. What an indescribable loss. I can't even imagine, but I do feel for ya. It it's any consolation at all (and at this point I know that very little will be) you achieved what most of us only dream about.

Tim,

As long has your family is okay and healthy and it was caught in time, that's all that matters buddy!

Tanks can come and go like seasons.

I up and sold everything one weekend as well due to being burnt out from family, work, work and recently loosing my brother-in-law after a year of battling the horrible disease cancer. So for the last eight months our house has basically been a big dog house and tank room. Were finally getting used to staying home again...

Keep your head up my friend!

-Mike

On the bight side, your family is safe and you have the summer to look forward to with out worrying about the tank :D

When it starts to cool down some you can re-evaluate the direction you'd like to head.

I, like many others, would be happy to get you going again

Tim,
I am truly sorry to hear of your tank losses...family is first and thankfully you caught the mold and were able to do something about it. It sounds like you made that project a lot of fun. I know you are a positive outlook kinda guy so I am sure you will find the blessing in all of this. As you know you are pretty loved by the community and without a doubt we are all here for you in whatever ways might be needed.

First and foremost, get that ankle healed up as getting out and doing what you love to do will help your mind, body and spirit, then you can clearly make some decisions about what's next for your tank. I, for one, hope you decide to re-build. And if you do, whatever I have that you might want...it is yours :D. Hang in there and rest, relax, and put your house back together. The rest will all fall into place over time.
