Jackson's 115 Gallon Custom Cube 32x32x26

Yes, but I initially did the first several higher dosage amounts as suggested on the bottle.

Did you start using this when you built this new tank? Or was it established you just decided to use the "New Tank Directions"?

Just curious since your tank looks awesome.

I bought the SM203 btw! F'ing beast it is! I got it up and running about 12-13 hours ago on my 90Display + 30sump (roughly ~100g) and its damn near dialed in. I think its in 10 inches of water so I may raise it an inch or so. (I could of went with the sm163, but I have tank upgrade plans and I know I can dial this thing back if needed)

Hi Jackson, can you tell me how many pounds of tonga rock you have in DT. I know you have more in sump. Just wanted to know how many pounds of tonga it took to make that structure.

I saw a 150 gallon cube SPS tank the other night and fell in love with it. The cube eliminates SO MANY problems. The next tank is going to be a cube.

Thanks. I started using the bacteria when I first started noticing signs of a cyano outbreak, which was around the 6 week - 2 month mark. The sm203 is strong. Just be careful that you don't strip your tank and get faded sps colors.

I just read you have 45 pounds. Thanks bud

I ordered 40lbs of tongs but only choose 20-25lbs of it to use along with another 25-30lbs lbs of marshall island rock. I have about 50lbs total in the display

I love metal halide lighting. Having a cube allows me to used 1 400w halide to light a 115g reef. It also appears larger in person because of the depth. You will enjoy it.

Since this thread was bumped up, here is an update video taken with an iPad on June 9th.

Amazing tank! Everything looks super! I love that light fixture, where did you ever find it? I've been keeping my eye out for a 48" dual 250mh fixture for a future build. Maybe a giessman but they are hard to come by anymore. By the way, it seems you have your light mounted lower now? A few of those pieces up top are getting blasted, but they seem to love it!

Thank you. The fixture is a Sfiligoi XR6. I was looking for one of these on a bunch of different reef forums for 3 months before I found one. The giesman spectra is a good alternative if you can find a sfiligoi. I lowered the fixture 1". It's about 9" off the water surface now. I borrowed a friends par meter a few weeks ago. Corals in the middle up high get around 600par. the red table in the middle was getting 350, and the sandbed was around 200.

Looks great! You have a healthy amount of flow in there. Love the selection of fish, looks like a vibrant, healthy reef.

Thanks. Your reef is a great inspiration for many of us.

I'm upset today didn't work out. We have to set a time soon!

Dude your piece is colony already :)

I had time to take out my old niko d40. Pics are not the best but better than cell quality I think. He's the photo dump. Very pleased how the tank is turning out at the 8 month mark. Smooth sailing so far, but chemical warfare between corals is becoming an issue. I'm just letting them fight it out for now :)

You have a beautiful set up and I love your reef cabinet:eek1:That multi colored aussie piece is awesome :inlove: When you are ready too frag it up I have some star polyps we can trade :lolspin:

Best colors you ever had bro... nice job!!!

Thanks Mike :) I think you're right.

Wow amazing man. Whats that coral in first photo??

thanks. Not sure which coral you're talking about?

Amazing tank, I love your sps color; what are you using in way of lighting?

Thank you. Lighting is a sfiligoi halide fixture. 1x400w Radium 4x24w T5 + 2 blue reefbrite strips.

Great polyp extension, healthy and happy sps

That's the plan :) Thanks

GSS? I would have to throw in some cash also ;)

Your pictures are amazing, great work!

Thank you very much :)

The tank is stunning Rich!!!
Vic

Glad you like it Vic. It's growing pretty fast.

I went through and read this whole thing, love that acro that everybody is drooling over, and I am going to steal the idea of having a cabinet to hide all of the equipment near the tank.

I'm glad you can take something from this thread. The cabinet was something that i added later because I underestimated all the junk that goes with this tank :)
