jacky`s sps tank

Wow.. such an amazing tank!! Great work.

I feel so bad when I lose some of my large colonies, not nearly as large as you though.. I would have a heart attack if that was my coral.. It was soo big :(

In 2013 July because of long time don't feed SPS, also used the PO4X4 and ZYM, the nutrient (NO3, PO4) is extremely low, Multiple SPS RTN, finally the accident loss of three SPS.

One grew from a small.

Sorry for your loose. How long did it take to grow like that from when you got it until it died?

Try adding pappone it's an amazing food source for Sps

Ouch, thats a terrible loss. Those were mighty big colonies.

Yes, unfortunately, since the accident I removed all of the adsorbents, into this relatively simple system now. I think the balance of nutrition is very important, the most important healthy coral.

It's time to lose is very sad, because is raised from a large. But it also gave me a very good experience to prevent I will lose more.

This little SPS is probably in 2012 December to buy, this photo was taken in July 2013.
In order to make up for the accident I crazy feeding for nearly two months time, nutrition balance.
I will try to introduce your food.

Holy smoking Batman. That colony was freaking huge. Go to show you have got what it takes to successfully keep things not only alive but thrived.

Are you using seawater?

Thanks!

Alk: 8 dKH

I figured it was somewhere around there, what salt do you use also where do you like to keep your cal?

I've been running BB system for a few years now and anytime my alk is over 9 I start to get problems. Now trying Red Sea salt, not the pro version so far so good

I use TM PRO salt, I like the CAL at about 420ppm.
I doesn't like ALK is too high, although growth will be faster, but if the supplement of Sr will have some negative effects on the growth of. I like the natural growth.

Must say this is an amazing tank. Love bare bottom. What are some of the changes you notice from the frags that are under the LEDs in the sump

Thank you!
LED light is very intensity, often according to the level of nutrition to adjust the white light intensity, LED color is very beautiful,, better than T5, but the growth rate is slower than T5.
