I think I am going to stay away from hermits and go with snails only. I just hate the way the hermits climb all over everything.

I am with you there. I only have snails in my display, and will do hermits in my fuge. Otherwise I see hermits running around in all my snail shells, and no snails left.

+1 on snails. I too did hermits and snails at first, 4 months later no snails, just hermits. I then moved all hermits to sump/fuge and replaced my snail population in DT. I'm now much happier with my CUC.

If anyone wants to get rid of their hermits I'm pretty sure my mantis would love to make a nice deco out of their shell for her front entrance . Looking great Dave! Looking forward to seeing it in person :thumbsup:

Actually just this past weekend I got the basement studded out! I've been sick though since Saturday so sometime this week I'll take pictures and update my build thread. Seeing it all laid out now has made me giddy with anticipation!

Actually I wanted to speak with you about your stand and the steel struts you used. Also wanted to know what you covered the sides and top edges of your framing with?

+1, just don't get too many. Turbos have voracious appetites and unless you plan to supplement them with Nori, you might only get a couple for now. You can always add more if you need them down the road. I've seen a couple Turbo snails eat an entire sheet of Nori overnight.

Most likely will move one of the RBTA in this weekend and then the clowns. I put a couple of soft corals in yesterday to test the waters if you will.

I have lots of catching up to do at work after being gone all last week. I thought I would post a couple of pics from our trip to Aruba. We have been going here for the last 7 years.
