aren't really frags

Montipora colonies. Both over 6" length. The top one is larger and both are extremely solid. Thick growth. You pick. $60 per colony.

Montipora available. See the largest "purple cap" at far right. It needs to go bye bye. $60.

reminder: all my corals/frags are fresh cut so you'll need superglue gel and Aquamend to mount them on your liverock

I'd say direct. They can even get some purple hues at the growing edges in the right lighting IME.

frag was originally glued in indirect light and grew outwards into direct lighting. heavy flow.

I have frags of all of these corals started elsewhere in my aquarium. Don't know if it's spongodes, either. Montipora are highly variable in growth habits as well as coloration.

I got that from Tom at TRS whe I bought mine way back when. In light of the recent purple tipped yongei discussion, I see where you're coming from.

Incidentally, what bulbs are you running?

the halide over the two Montis is a 400 Hammy 14k.

the halide over corals in the second pic is a 400 Ushio 14k.

I also run VHO actinics.

Gary, If diverdick dosent get all of thiat green monti, I would def be in for some, even if its just a small frag. I loved that coral the min. I saw it when I bought the purple off ya!

The piece looks great in my system. There was a bit of an issue though. You did such a great job bagging it to protect the pillars. I re-rocked my 65 to enable the piece to be placed where I wanted. After using epoxy to secure it, the pizza knocked on the door. While eating, the new rock stack tipped..........all three of the pillars are now separate from the colony. I really liked that look too. Anyway, if Paul is interested in making the trip drop me a line and we can hook up.

I will get some pictures after all the reef dust settles. There is no way it will look as good as it did in your tank, but I will give it a try!
