japanese zoos the next craze?

Funny thing is most of the deepwater zoas at the LFS .... well they all seem healthy and hardly "meltdown" syndrome .... hmmmmm???
One thing I found out is to frag apart these zoas and the probability of survival is a whole lot better although mine has been pretty good ... so far!!!

Although the fad had ended (from what it seems), I am also wondering how these polyps are going....

I am going to look around localy and see whats going on these days with the jap deep water zoas.

Price has gone down significantly, some ebay and online sellers are placing the hornet name on some of those DWZ in a effort to sell. Like green hornets, red hornets, purple hornet next gen, hornets brother etc... etc...

lol, anything to make an extra buck! I suspect that once their care conditions have been identified people may have more luck as i suspect that most people are placing under lighting used to keep the normal (non jap/deep water/hong kong) zoa's and maybe they dont need so much light, who knows (i dont). Saying that, I have some that I have had since mid may & are fine, but going on experinace with them , that means jack as they can start to die without rhyme nor reason. Saying that, I would stock more, but maybe try and hardy them up before selling. As for the price, they have been selling at the same price as normal zoa's with no silly extra stealth surcharge added because they are different!

All of mine bit the dust... :(

How long did it take?

Did you have yours in high, medium, or low light?
High flow, low flow?
