Jebao Cross Flow Pump

Jebao was founded in 1998. That's 18 years.

i think he ment in the SW hobby.

either way for being in the business for 18 years they should have an idea on how to make stuff themselves without needing to copy's others. unless they have only copied others for all 18 years.

I cant wait to try this cp40 i have a jebao dc12000 running a lil over 2 years now with a 1" scwd for my return on a 120 gallon 60" reef and 2 rw-8s running since their release with occasional vinegar baths and cleanings they have been working fine for me was hoping to replace both rw"s with one of these so waiting patiently for a review to see if it will do the job

He said "Jebao has been a company for 3 years"

You also agreed with the guy who said "500-1000 jebaos die, for every single Tunze".

Why do you guys twist the truth so much to prove your point? I know some of the misinformation is coming from retailers who sell competing products, but what do you have vested in this topic that makes you jeopardize your own credibility so openly?

he also never said the 500-1000 was fact.

you get me real numbers then. you never will be able to. but the truth is there are a ton more threads about jebao's breaking than tunze's in the same time frame

I think 7-68% of what you say is actually just random thoughts and should not be takes seriously. Those might not be factual numbers, but prove me wrong.

The real question is why would anyone type hundreds of words per week, only to bash some pump. Is this topic worth this much of your time?

and who is to say you should be taken serious? i can't prove you wrong and you can't prove him wrong also. (well unless you wanna spend counless hours going through all the threads) i'm not gonna take the time to count the number of threads for each jebao breaking compaired to tunze, you and i both know jebao is gona have many more than tunze.

people can think what they want about what i or anyone else says. doesnt mean i can't post my experiance with them. i've seen plenty of people only want read what they wanna hear, weather 20 people say you can't have a tang in a 20 gal tank and 1 person say they did it so the op still buys a tang for his 20 gal because 1 person said it was fine so it must be ok.

some people do write long statements to get their point accross, what is wrong with that? to him seeing a pump alomst burn down a house is worth his time so others don't fall into the same situation. I find info like that very helpful no matter what company it is.

This is all about a Chinese company ripping off a Chinese company lol

Nothing was even built/designed in Murica here...

Sorry, I just went back to the original post and seen that this was a Jebao bashing party. Not my place to post.My bad.

I didn't know what a gyre was until reef builders started bashing Jebao. Now I want the CP-40.

No way these other retailers/sites waste their time bashing a product unless they thought it a formidable opponent.

I seen an interesting way to look at it the other day in a different thread. If they were ALL FREE which one would you put in your tank? He guy posted it with a theory of you have a mindset of which you might THINK is better but maybe you can't justify the price. But if they were all free which would you choose? Would it still be the one we have in our tank today?

Just a different way to look at it, and maybe it matters, maybe not. Just something for fun.

Well if everything was free, I'd be living in a mansion, driving my Hennessey Venom GT to work, and diving into my indoor wavepool retrofitted into a reef system every night.

Price being equal, I don't think anyone would argue the Jebaos are as good as a Tunze, nor are they as sleek as an Ecotech. People like me buy Jebaos because we either can't afford the big boys, or we don't think the premium is worth the price.

I just can't stomach it. A german pump is 1/10th the price of a german luxury vehicle. I actually threw that out there without checking... I just checked! Right on.

Good point. I would definitely buy the most reliable free one. I personally love the Tunze performance, but I've never bought one because of price. If they were free, I'd absolutely use them instead of the Jebao.

Here's my personal preference... Tunze 6515

I would love ten of these for free please...

Or the new BMW 3 series... they're about the same price right now.
I had no idea anything on that scale existed. Wow, 39000gph. It would take 5 RW-20's at ~ $500 to do that.
