Jebao Cross Flow Pump

Can these be hooked up to apex yet? Is the controller the same as the RW power heads? Are they 24v and if so will they run at 12v for a battery backup?

Just got one from ebay and wondering is it normal to have one side shooting up and downwards with only half the speed?? The seller send me a replacement motor and it it doing the same, swap the impellers and no change.

couple of the stores near me have started getting them in. I'm gonna go ahead and pick one up next week so I can play with apex control with it

Has anyone tried to plug these to the JBwave?

Secondly, should I sell my RW-15s from my 75g and buy a cp-25?

I just unplugged mine and plugged it back in and it went back to same mode/intensity.

What's the desire for an external controller? You can do pulses and a few different modes on the one that Comes with it

At least with the RWs the JB wave really opens them up.

The stock controller doesn't hold a candle to it.

I recive the new T1 controller today for me cp40 from fish street and aim not happy it don't work going nutc 110 no respond yet from fish street sucks

With an external controller you can run 2 of these pumps on opposite ends of the tank, and alternate the power. Personally, I'd lime to run one for 5 minutes on the forward/reverse mode, then switch to the other one, and the same forward/reverse mode for 5... Keep alternating.

I'm trying to build a controller (similar in function to icecap) for the cross flow/gyre, but don't really want to buy one to test. I contacted chris/coralvue to get some info, and never got a reply. I guess he is probably busy sending out letters. ;) I think I can build one that will cost way less than the icecap interface or the aqualink T1 (I think fish street is getting greedy, doubling the price of the controller that does not work). Anyone in SF bay area with crossflow or gyre I can borrow? I just need to see the control signal on an oscilloscope.

So if I hook mine up to an oscilloscope Will you build me one? Hehe. I have an O scope and a cp40! I would love to find a way to hook it up to a the apex.... Or hook it up to an Ecotech driver to let the modes be automated. Alternatively building an arduino middle man interface is probably the actual answer. I'm open to ideas and trying things as long as I don't break my new 200$ toy :)

Can you not do that with the stock controller? Do they not link like the RWs do?

Will the jebao to apex box not work with it?

The RW and the cross flow appear to have the same controller.

I was told by fish street that they are not compatible. On another post of an aftermarket contoller I read that the pin out was different. I borrowed a buddy's dead RW pump to compare the RW controller out to the CPs

Based on the projects you have done and published on your website, I know you can do this. :)

I only need the info so I can make a DIY controller that more people can use. I personally do not need it as I don't own a gyre or cross flow, at least not anytime soon. I'm sure not everyone is willing to shell out $100+ for an icecap or aqualink controller, which I think are way overpriced.
