no it won't. I think it says so in their website last I checked, which was a while back,
The JBWave does NOT work with the CP-40. Any of the WP/RW/PP stock controllers won't work either. The CP-40 uses the same connector, but the signals and power requirements are completely different.
In fact, plugging the CP-40 into a JBWave or any other RW/PP controller for more than a few seconds will likely damage the motor.

Joe
Hey guys,
A friend of mind bought me a present CP-40 but there was no manual inside.
I've tried to contact fish-street but they are replying really slow with super weird questions - Like this is kind of treasure.
I wonder if someone please can send me scanned manual in English?
Cheers,
Charles.
Can you not do that with the stock controller? Do they not link like the RWs do?
Im not sure if they link or not. In my situation, I already have a maxspect, and want another, but am not willing to pay for it. So, I would like to keep my maxspect, and add a cp40. I want them to alternate.
Is this any good long term? I have a couple of RW8's for the last 15 months and they are noisy now. The rubber pegs that hold the 2 parts melted away so I am using zip ties to keep them together.
Wondering if I should spend double to get the Gyre or cheap this out![]()

Cheap it out man.
They are probably made in the same facility as the gyre.
That's The downfalls of manufacturing in China.
Ben, with all due respect, they probably aren't made (made = assembled) in the same factory, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out they both buy a lot of the parts that go into both pumps are bought from the same manufacturing companies. That's how China works. Dozens of companies can put together (assemble) pumps, and most of them go to the same companies to buy the various parts because none of them make their own, they just do assembly. Assembly is easy and cheap. Actually manufacturing parts is more expensive and therefore high volume production lowers the unit cost. So company A makes tons of small motors and both Maxspect and Jebao buy from Company A. Company B makes tons of plastic parts, so both Maxspect and Jebao buy from Company B. And the same for magnets, power cords, boxes, styrofoam packing...
It's the same thing that goes on with Chinese led fixtures. That's why so many look the same. And ones that look different tend to cost more because they have lower volume and the manufacturer charges more for low volume parts production.
In China, low wage employees are everywhere which is why they make stuff cheaper than we can here. But because low wage employees are everywhere there is little competitive advantage against an other Chinese company. So internally it's all about getting the volume up to make the unit cost go down.
I knew that was what you meant, I just wanted to make it perfectly clear.
Some people think everything from China is junk. But a some companies there now realize that they need better quality and better customer service if they are going to take over the world... I mean gain market share in the US and Europe!
